Multi-stage RO, EDI, deionisation and validated ultra-pure water plants for
laboratories, research facilities, food and beverage producers, dairy,
horticulture and pharmaceutical operations.
Industrial water filtration in New Zealand is a specialist discipline. The contaminant load varies enormously
between Auckland’s chlorinated mains, Canterbury’s mineral-heavy aquifer water, the Waikato’s bore
networks and the West Coast’s organic-rich surface water — and the consequences of getting it wrong
are measured in product recalls, compliance failures and seven-figure equipment replacements.
We design industrial systems from first principles: full inlet water analysis, demand profiling, contaminant
mapping, multi-stage selection (RO, EDI, ion exchange, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, UV, ozone), and
complete plant integration with PLC monitoring, conductivity logging and remote alarms. Our flagship
industrial reference is the Plant & Food Research installation — dual MO1000 RO units with Watts One™ DI
resin cartridges feeding gravity tanks for a 7-storey research facility, delivering laboratory-grade water
below 5 µS/cm and reducing service costs by 70%.
Most industrial ultra-pure water plants we deliver are built around a primary RO stage paired with
electrodeionisation (EDI) or mixed-bed polishing. RO removes 95–99% of dissolved solids; EDI then
continuously polishes that permeate to Type II or Type I lab water purity (typically <1 µS/cm and <50 ppb
TOC) without the chemical regeneration headache of traditional ion-exchange resin.
Our partner brand Membrane Solutions NZ supplies the spiral-wound RO membranes, hollow-fibre UF
modules and nanofiltration elements at the heart of these plants. That vertical integration means faster
lead times, locally held spares and direct technical access to the engineers who specified the membranes
— a real advantage when something needs troubleshooting quickly.
New Zealand’s food, beverage, dairy and horticulture sectors all depend on consistent, contaminant-free
process water. We design systems for ingredient water, CIP (clean-in-place) rinse water, bottle-rinse
water, brewery liquor and irrigation water for hydroponic and greenhouse operations. Spectra Guard
scale-control dosing — used at our Plant & Food install — eliminates the need for traditional softeners on
many sites, reducing sodium discharge and ongoing salt costs.
We work alongside facility engineers, food-safety auditors and consulting hydrologists to ensure every
system is fully validated, fully documented and ready for FSSC 22000, BRCGS, MPI and council audits.
For pharma, hospital and university lab clients we deliver Type I, II and III water as defined by ISO 3696
and the equivalent USP/EP pharmacopoeia standards. Plants are supplied with full IQ/OQ/PQ validation
packs, sanitisable PVDF or 316L stainless ring mains, hot-water sanitisation cycles and continuous online
conductivity and TOC monitoring.
