REMOVAL OF HEAVY METALS AND PESTICIDE RESIDUES
RO is the so-called principle of reverse osmosis, in which the flow of water is from low concentration to high concentration, and once water is pressurized, it will flow from high concentration to low concentration.
Since the RO membrane has a pore size of 0.0001 micrometers, which is 1 part per million of a hair, and cannot be seen by the ordinary eye, and bacteria and viruses are 5,000 times larger than it, under a certain amount of pressure, the H2O subcomponent can pass through the RO membrane, while impurities in the source water such as ¡§unorganic salts¡ ̈, ¡§heavy metal separators¡ ̈, organic matter, colloids, bacteria, and viruses are not able to permeate through the RO membrane, thus making a strict distinction between the pure water that can be passed through the membrane, and the concentrated water that is unable to pass through the membrane. Impurities and heavy metals that cannot pass through the RO membrane are discharged through the waste water pipe.
This method is used in all seawater desalination processes as well as in the recycling of wastewater from space, which is why RO membranes are known as the high-tech "human kidney" outside the body. Currently, RO membranes are used for high filtration in the medical, military, and pharmaceutical fields.
