In 2023, The Filter Guy Ltd, led by Director David Jenner, successfully delivered a custom reverse osmosis water treatment solution for a leading Plant & Food Research facility in New Zealand.

The installation featured 2 x MO1000 Reverse Osmosis systems with Watts One™ DI resin cartridges, engineered to ensure backup redundancy and continuous supply to storage tanks. Positioned on level 7 of the complex, the dual-tank setup provided a gravity-fed water supply to all laboratories and greenhouses, eliminating the need for additional pumps.

Designed with efficiency in mind, this solution reduced service and maintenance costs by 70% while maintaining water quality consistently below 5 µ/cm — surpassing New Zealand’s strict standards for agricultural and laboratory-grade water.

Additionally, the integration of Spectra Guard dosing technology removed the need for traditional water softeners by adapting filtration to the chemical profile of the incoming water.
